Innovation

One example of an innovative product produced by lecturers at FMIPA UI is EWAS ( Earthquake Warning Alert System ).

Earthquake Warning Alert System (EWAS) is a quake detection system that functions to provide warning signs of the presence of an earthquake to the public automatically and very quickly. EWAS gives an earthquake warning sign in the form of a very loud siren sound in the community, right when the earthquake shock occurs. EWAS effectively detects earthquake shocks and sounds a warning alarm in less than 5 seconds. Here is an example of its implementation CLICK HERE CLICK HERE
