Masters Degree Study Program at FMIPA UI

The Master's Program is an academic education that is intended for graduates of the Bachelor's program or equivalent, so that they are able to practice and develop science, technology, art, and culture through scientific reasoning and research. The study load of the regular Master's Program for all pathways is a minimum of 36 (thirty-six) credits. The implementation of the Master's Program can be carried out through the Lecture and Research pathways. The Master's Program through the Lecture and Research Paths can be taken through the International Mobility program.
Masters Program by Course Path
The Lecture Pathway Master's Program is a regular Master's Program consisting of structured lectures and resulting in a thesis or other equivalent form as a final assignment, which can be taken in a blended or face-to-face manner, for at least 12 (twelve) months.
Research Masters Program
It is a regular Masters Education program consisting of Special Courses and produces a thesis as a final assignment.
Master of International Mobility Education Program
It is a Master's program organized by the University of Indonesia, where some of the credits (using the Credit Transfer scheme and credit equivalency) can be taken from student participation in exchange programs or overseas visit programs at one or more foreign universities recognized by the University of Indonesia. The condition of this program is that students take a minimum of 50% of the courses from their Study Program, including the Final Project, and all exams are held at the University of Indonesia.

Master of Mathematics Study Program
The FMIPA UI Mathematics Masters study program produces graduates in the field of mathematics who understand the basic theories of mathematics so that they can develop mathematics and apply it in their work environment.
Master of Physics Study Program
The FMIPA UI Master of Physics study program produces graduates of teaching staff and researchers who have adaptable abilities, are able to learn quickly, and are competent in the problems faced, especially in the application of physics or the use of systematic scientific thinking to solve these problems.
Master of Materials Science Study Program
Program studi magister ilmu material FMIPA UI menghasilkan lulusan dengan keahlian dalam bidang Ilmu material dan terapannya secara umum, serta salah satu bidang peminatan khusus yang dipilihnya yakni logam/alloy, keramik atau polimer, serta mampu menerapkan dan berperilaku professional pada bidang pekerjaannya untuk kepentingan dan kemajuan masyarakat.
Master of Chemistry Study Program
The FMIPA UI Master of Chemistry study program produces chemists with special expertise, which is in accordance with international demands and chemists who are able to follow and apply developments in chemistry and develop centers of excellence in chemistry, which can play an active role in efforts to improve services to the community.
Biology Masters Study Program
The FMIPA UI biology master's study program produces strong and internationally-minded researchers, educators, and practitioners who are able to create new breakthroughs in the field of conservation biology.
Master of Marine Science Study Program
The FMIPA UI marine science master's study program produces graduates who are able to manage inter or multidisciplinary research and develop knowledge and/or technology in the field of marine life sciences and physical sciences based on the sustainable use of marine natural resources, thus producing innovative and tested works at the national and international levels.
Master of Geography Study Program
The FMIPA UI Geography Masters study program produces graduates who have the ability to analyze and synthesize phenomena on the earth's surface holistically as well as regional development based on the physical characteristics of the earth's surface, socio-economic and culture, using an interdisciplinary approach and geographic methods based on GIS and PJ technology.
Master of Medical Physics Study Program
The FMIPA UI medical physics master's study program produces superior graduates as clinical medical physicists, radiation protection experts, government officials, as well as productive academics and researchers for the advancement of world medical physics.
